The singing scene was a surprise for Carell. It wasn’t part of the script so he no idea what was going on. They captured his genuine reaction.
2021-05-04 00:09:58 +0000 UTCI don't think Steve Carell had to pretend to cry in this episode. I think getting this kind of goodbye from your coworkers (and co-actors) has to hit you hard after so many years together. It gave me happy-tears.
