Musical Submission Due Date EXTENDED
Added 2025-04-17 15:40:58 +0000 UTCHey folks! Since it's the last week of the lament bass course and I still haven't completed my musical example, I figured I'm not the only one and I'm going to change the rules of engagement a bit.
First off, you're free to write a piece that's longer. The amount of submissions for this workshop has been managable and I'm happy to review longer pieces (within reason!), so if you'd like to continue adding to your song, go ahead and expect that I'll make time to listen to the whole thing.
Second, the due date will be Saturday, April 26th. Then on Sunday I'll review the pieces and post the video on the following Monday.
This coming Monday (the 21st), I'll be doing a Live Composing session to create my submission for the lament bass lesson. That stream will also serve as a stress-test for my livestreaming setup (which was having issues this month).

2025-04-21 17:28:00 +0000 UTCInteresting thing, i was getting my acoustic in shape for spring and strumming through the old favorites to make sure the action is good, etc. I was playing Plush and realized itβs a chomatic Lament Bass that just stops a note before the dominant! Just like how everything I played had a minor iv chord after I learned that trick, I bet everything I play the next six months is going to have a Lament bass now. π
