The first doodle recruitment of the new year! + state of the patreon, 2024

Despite everything, it has come to happen, 2023 is over (and it felt VERY long to me) and 2024 is now upon us.

Thank you very much for your support last year and if you're reading this, for your continued support this new year.

I wish I had anything meaningful to say, but I've mostly been spending the last couple of weeks on mental autopilot so the realization of the new year is only coming to me like an "oh... that's right..."

I will have to look within and find stuff to do this year, like properly, with set plans and everything I guess, because right now I'm living day after day.

I already have vague ideas for all of that anyway.
One thing at a time.

For now what I can do are doodles.
You know the drill, hopefully a month off didn't make you forget how it works.

POSSIBLE CHANGES

I will probably be updating the guidelines to better regulate submission and delivery dates and have them both be made in specific time windows.

It feels bad to say it, but honestly, it peeves me a lot when people forget about the submissions and only send the DM in on like, the late 20's of the month, when I think I'm through with everything and that I only have to wait for the next month to start.

Having a fixed delivery date for the doodles (or a deadline, since I always have and always will try to have at least a batch of doodles ready by the first weekend of the month) should also prevent a situation like last month's from ever happening again.

I'm also looking to expand, promote, and possibly reform the Patreon.

However, this can be a double-edged sword for a reason-
Ever since I launched this Patreon and its rewards, I had this looming thought:

What if the Patreon grows to the point where making doodles for every single supporter simply becomes unfeasible?

You might have noticed sometimes I don't share the Patreon doodles publicly, or make mention of it to promote it.
This was because I felt content with the amount of support I was getting, but now I think it's time to start growing again.

The doodles won't be going away for now.
I still have to think a lot about what to offer instead of them when the time comes.

New tiers might be added and I will generally look for (and/or make) more stuff to post here exclusively.

Expect more posts like these in the future.
