"Partizan" honoring the fallen of WW2 (WIP)

He requested his inspiring character "Partizan", placing a bouquet of Flowers on the tomb of the Unknown soldier. This one takes place during the Cold War, in the 1970's. I know that due to.... *ehem* current events it might hurt sensitivities. Let us all hope peace can return to Europe soon. We have had way TOO MANY happenings in the last 2 years as to add YET another one.

As the son of a Great Patriotic War veteran and a Holocaust survivor, Victory Day has always held particular significance for Lieutenant of Internal Services Alexei Volkov (AKA the superhero Partizan) – his father, Evgeny, had fought as a partisan and later as a member of the Red Army, while his mother, Olga, was a Soviet Jew who lost her entire family during the Holocaust and only survived by escaping the Minsk Ghetto and joining the Soviet partisans. Evgeny and Olga met up during the liberation of Byelorussia, began courting shortly after the war, before eventually marrying and moving to Moscow. Incidentally, May 9th is also Alexei's birthday.
