빈처 - is a autobiographical short story by Hyun Jin-geon. The main character is a couple of poor but happy unknown writers, who calmly depict his wife's devotion and inner desire through the trivial aspects of everyday life without any dramatic developments.
술 권하는 사회 - A short piece that deals with the lethargy of intellectuals under Japanese colonial rule.
타락자 - it vividly depicts the reality of frustration and corruption that intellectuals had to experience under colonial rule, and realistically depicts the sweet love relationship between the corrupt and the gisaeng through relatively lengthy topics and events.
