The DC Infinite Frontier Reading Order is now updated with the May 2022 solicitations! This update includes the full Batman/Robin/Deathstroke Inc. crossover: Shadow War, as well as a handful of story arcs, mini-series, and single issue stories.
The June solicitations should be out later this week or next, so I hope to get to those right away next week before jumping back into the Post-Zero Hour Reading Order.
Thanks again for being a patron and welcome to all of you new patrons who joined recently! If you've read anything great lately, recommend it in the comments.
My recent reads:

I'm continuing to make my way through Grant Morrison's era of Batman but also spent about 6 hours on planes this weekend which gave me some time to read random comics and series I've been meaning to get to.
- Star Wars by Brian Wood was a re-read for me. When it was releasing, I collected it in single issues each month and remembered absolutely loving it. I'm glad I did a re-read, but in comparison to the Marvel series that came after, it's definitely not as good. That being said, it seemed like the book just abruptly ended when Dark Horse lost the rights to publish Star Wars comics, so it's possible he had a plan that would have led to some great stories later on.
- Batman: The White Knight was also a re-read for me, but Curse of the White Knight and Harley Quinn were first time reads. The White Knight is definitely in my list of favorite superhero comics, the art and story are phenomenal. I was extremely pleased to see Curse of the White Knight was just as good but I felt Harley Quinn fell a bit short of greatness. I'm definitely looking forward to Beyond the White Knight!
- The Resurrection of Ra's Al Ghul was okay but nothing overly interesting. I felt like it could have fit into one or two issues, rather than an 8-issue crossover with additional prologues and an epilogue.
- Batman: Private Casebook continues Paul Dini's run on Detective Comics and was a lot of fun as usual. I love how much he utilizes Zatanna, but from what I understand she's almost entirely based off of his wife, so I'm not surprised.
- Batman Confidential: Lovers and Madmen was a fine origin of Joker but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it.
- Batman Confidential: The Wrath was a breathe of fresh air after the previous 12 issues of the series. It was only a 4-issue story, but I loved it. Skip the first 12 issues and just read this because it's great and in no way connected to previous stories.
- Demon Slayer: Stories of Water and Flame is basically Demon Slayer fan fiction. I personally didn't like it that much but it looks like most people on Goodreads gave it 4-5 stars. For context, I did read the entire Demon Slayer series last year and enjoyed it, but I wouldn't necessarily call myself a fan.
- Blade Runner 2029 was incredible! I absolutely love the world building and can't wait to see what's coming in 2039. I definitely recommend 2019 and 2029 for any Blade Runner fans.
- Primordial was a quick read but still interesting. I'm a big Jeff Lemire fan, so I pretty much read and enjoy anything he writes.
- Teen Titans: Deathtrap was something I read only because it's a crossover with the 12-issue Vigilante series that spun out of the Nightwing story I read last week. It was also okay but definitely nothing special.
- Night of the Ghoul has one issue remaining, but I'm very much enjoying it so far. I recommend reading it all when it's finished. It's included with Prime Reading and Comixology Unlimited.
- Robin: The Big Leagues, like a lot of the Batman stuff I've been reading lately is also very readable but mediocre. If you're a huge Tim Drake fan, this series is worth reading, otherwise I'd skip it.
