2022-06-01 23:26:31 +0000 UTCalso the idea of a "vertical union" (named after the vertical monopolies of capitalist companies) is something I've thought about. There are a lot of problems I see with it, but a lot of potential too, especially when organizing outside of a single company. I've been talking with some wobblies and sparticists about the idea and they seem interested. My initial thought for a "test run" would be to try to link together two labor actions along a supply line in different countries on a small scale. A union drive in the US at a small restaurant coinciding with a strike in China at a small factory that produces all the syrup for their pop. Something like that. I'm curious how people could make those connections.

I find it interesting how often the IWW has come up in Antifada episodes but I can’t remember any time where y’all invited one of us on the show to talk about our organizing and the historical context around who we are as an organization.
