I know they’ve said that they view the post-show as part of the stream and not KFGD, and that waiting for the post-show to be over would disrupt the workflow of the uploading schedule. But I echo that if you guys could make including the post-show somehow, I think we’d all appreciate it greatly!

Hi Greg, I have a question about the new Games Daily post shows. Can I ask the reason why the post shows are taken off the Patreon versions of the videos? I noticed that they’re still included on the normal YouTube versions, so why take them off the Patreon versions? It feels like MORE effort to remove them than just to leave them in.

What do you think will happen to people’s faith in Xbox if Starfield flops? Do you think people will even care for any future Xbox 1st party game if the game they’ve been hyping up for quite some time fails? Love all the content you and the team make!

I think a lot of this is definitely that continuing tug-o-war with numbers versus the opinions behind them. While numbers are the least effective way to communicate nuanced thoughts, it’s also the most widely looked to way from the general audience. I can’t help but think that there’s a way to better use numbers as reviewers (industry-wide, not just the KF scale) but that’s just me though :)

I’d give it a 4/5 cause of tech issues but I pushed through and beat it(loved the spoiler cast btw). Most of my time spent customizing my outfit to match my light saber color and handle colors. And quick question Greg, but do you think we will get a knockoff lightsaber in starfield? 😂

I'm one of those people who really resonates with the spirit of your review, I would probably be in the 4-5 range myself, but I understand the points made by the two commenters. I don't think it's a reviewer problem. It's a numbered score problem. Like you said, reviews are so unscientific that (and this next part is my opinion so I'm not putting words in your mouth) it's doesn't make much sense to attach numbers to them. I do think review scores work most of the time, but games in the state of Jedi Survivor are the exceptions that break down numbered scores. Ultimately, as you said, the text of the review matters more than the number.

Thanks for the answer i understand. My rage quit wasnt really because the game is terrible its because I wanted to enjoy it. Its my most expected game of the year. And it was just rage inducing that I cant have the experience i was so looking forward to. And my reason for being hung up on the score is I guess im just hoping that there is a way to fight back greedy publishers. Games are slowly turning into much more of a business than an art form. I think its extremely sad that publishers control the price and release date of a game, but they dont even guarantee the quality nowadays. Looking forward to the day when the general public gets fed up and starts demanding quality rarher than quantity You dont have to answer this one im just ranting 🤣
