Note: we decided to release this one for everyone, to give them a taste of the roundtable portion of the show as we near the end of Elden Ring proper. If you know anyone who you think might like the show, we think this is a great episode to share!

I’m way late to the Elden Ring party because I just started it earlier this year, and beat it recently. Been hooked since I stepped foot in Limgrave. Also just started listening to your podcast - love it! A point about the misbegotten ‘children of Radagon’ cut content - granted that yeah, it’s a bit of an obtuse connection given Radagon’s status as Golden Order enforcer, to the point where he was attempting to fix the Elden Ring after Marika shattered it. But there have been some interesting lore videos out there that point to some odd connections. For example: - the leonine misbegotten’s red hair - the misbegotten found praying to Radagon’s statue on the outskirts of Leyndell - the misbegotten use swords and daggers of the same shape as Radagon’s sword appears in the statues of him - the boss enemy named ‘misbegotten crusader’ in the Cave of the Forlorn (in the Consecrated Snowfields) wields a *Golden Order Greatsword* - “forged by King Consort Radagon to proudly symbolize the tenets of the Golden Order” This is all really weird for obvious reasons. But this isn’t cut content, this is stuff that made it into the final game and remains unaltered, and imo points towards some kind of connection between Radagon and the crucible. Anyways, food for thought! Thanks for the dope podcast.

I didn’t have time to write it out fully, but as far as Maliketh being somehow both dead and alive, my best guess is that Farum is basically in stasis, or is mostly beyond time. The bright object in the sky that may or may not be a sun doesn’t change position, it’s always the same time in Farum. The Maliketh we fight has to be a future version of Maliketh if we didn’t give him all of the Deathroot, or the “present” version if he did get them. It doesn’t fully make sense given time shenanigans relative to normal time passing in the real world, but it’s the only thing that explains Maliketh’s presence, as well as Farum’s preservation after all this time.

I'm happily on the Maliketh is awesome side, sorry, Gary. ahahaha But don't worry I, too, think Horah Loux is lame from a lore perspective. I think I like werewolves and beastmen stories cause aggression and misunderstanding are themes that play into it and to see that he's a big dumb softy is a nice juxtaposition.

Miquella’s cocoon rests on what looks like a giant’s pelvic bone. I wonder if that’s just a flourish From threw in there because there are giants in this world so that is imagery that was available to them tying in themes of birth into the design, or if it hints at some direct or thematic connection between Miquella and the giants. Or all of the above. Also, love Austin.
