Added 2023-05-17 20:49:46 +0000 UTCThe Lost Word of Jenny is a Famicom oddity that was never released in the west, at least until someone did a fan translation of it. And it makes you wonder... why? Jenny was a Japanese equivalent to the Barbie doll, which explains its limited appear here in the states... but there's also the bizarre character roster and some VERY fast and loose usage of outfits that look a lot like KKK uniforms. Uncomfortable to say the least.

It is an all ages affair but it is written by Gene Luen Yang and he makes it an immigrant allegory thing with supes and these pov characters who are an asian american family. Definitely recommended it if your local library has a copy
