Yeah, we did very close to site and I wouldn't have done it differently. Glad the soup was good! We weren't in a soup mood but it looked good. GB

1) I liked this episode a TON. You guys have honed your analytical and presentation skills so much that you could do podcasts on a wildly different topic from media and be successful. Meeting up in real life and producing a show on the experience would be really solid content even if it’s financially prohibitive. I really liked the real-life aspect of this talk. 2) Nintendo World is AWESOME. Echoing Gary: Buy early access, it is very worth the slight premium. Just don’t care about cost, you have to accept that you’re in for the ride. Finally, the attention to detail is stunning. I’m glad Kole mentioned the Wet Floor signs, that is .1% of the delightful touches that make it special. Adding: Re: Cafe - The mushroom soup is outright delicious. The bowl is very nice, impractical take-home swag. We took our baby there and got to skip the line for Mario Kart as single riders. Sounds like we missed some really cool stuff in the line, though. Finally, we stayed on site at Universal the night before. If you need a hotel in LA anyhow, this isn’t that much pricier and makes the day at the park way less stressful. The hotel treated us like royalty, great room, and the room service was delish and not unfairly priced.

I’m a coaster and dark ride snob and usually turn up my nose at Universal’s preponderance of screen rides, but Kart sounds like a very cool development of one of those. I always liked their environment design, too. I think the thing to watch out for are those immersive interactives and minigames. I’m really curious to try those out in person. I went to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge for a conference and messed around with a lot of the game stuff going on in that park. I don’t think the design is as cool as it could be, but it’s extremely likely that this stuff will outshine the rides with a few more years to cook. God. I want in on those gigs so badly. Not just for the games but also for their roleplaying and narrative potential. There’s so much you can do in terms of immersion.
