Sounds a bit depressing, if I'm being honest.
Wow.

You can still get the Bow of the Banshee, Jorgoral's Greatsword, and Shining Staver-of-Skulls after pushing everyone off the boat. The corsairs' bodies all wash up on the shore back near the Decrepit Village. (Take the boat back, you'll be right there.)

You do get the bow of the banshee just from killing him on the boat, not pushing him into the water tho 🤣

Great ep! Have you considered getting Nick Wiger as a guest? He’s a mega fan and has done two play throughs, & has been on Talking Simpsons so is part of the Duckiverse.

I forgot that was how he came built. Because of the stat build system he has like 13 Strength, rip. -GB

Minsc comes as a ranger actually! You get him in Act 3.

My character was pushed into the lava! Then to make things worse she was ensnared as well 😂 She died quickly but I was able to rez her and get her a swig of an invis potion while she collected her thoughts.

Cole, you should trust your instincts! The 1982 Beastmaster movie does indeed have a thrown weapon called a “caber” that looks pretty badass not unlike the “glaive” from the 1983 Krull movie (possibly inspired by Beastmaster?). I totally agree, the Beastmaster Subclass should definitely have a caber ability or caber spell for extra flavor!
Looking over the wiki entry, the main character’s name in the Beastmaster is Dar, he names his animal companions Kodo, Podo, Ruh, and Sharak. I would suspect caveman DNA but using such a big word like Sharak throws a wrench into that theory.
Also, you know everything Dar put into his rat satchel comes out smelling like ferret piss. No Dar, I do not want a warm gummy bear!

Great episode!
5e is great. I understand disliking the company but for heroic fantasy 5e still takes the cake (imo). Well balanced classes, compelling for beginners and veterans, and a treasure trove of creatures.
I’m excited to see what MCDM does with their new system but Wizards’ track record for improvement gives me a lot of faith in 1DnD.

If you are a female Drow you can convince Nere to abandon the Absolute. The way for it to work is you have to kill all the Duergar before freeing him.

When I first came across Barcus Wroot, I accidentally sent him flying from the windmill he was tied to, because it was so early in my playthrough that I was still clicking everything non-discriminatively and flipped the wrong lever when trying to help him down.
It was funny, and I figured the guy couldn't possibility be that important, so I just went with it.
Later, in the Myconid colony, I completely missed Thulla laying on the ground among some other bodies. So my next meaningful encounter with gnomes was the slaves in Grymforge.
There I did try to save them, but for some reason they all became hostile to me when I started fighting their captors.
Checking online, I found that this is a fairly common issue.
Having not talked to either Barcus or Thulla before this, I figured the gnome slaves to be fairly contained NPCs, so I just went with it instead of reloading and circumventing whatever went wrong.
Upon returning Nere's head to the Myconid colony, I did spot Thulla on the ground and had Shadowheart cure her.
When Thulla tried to recruit me into saving her friends, I had to let her know that they were all already dead. Needless to say, she was pissed!
And that was the story of how my character accidentally became a gnome racist, being far less heroic towards them than any other type of good creature in the game.
I have not yet met another important gnome character in my playthrough, so we'll see if this informs any roleplaying later on.
