Psionic backlash also works as counterspell if you cast it as a reaction and it kills the person you’re reacting against. Sounds niche but it’s really effective.

Also… sadly… in my honor mode run Arabella didn’t make it, I failed the checks. And her parents and Kahga have a lot of things to say to each other in the camp…. Including attempted murder after paralyzing the wine. It’s a pretty crazy scene.

When I did my evil run Gale was also drinking heavily and in sad boy mode from killing the tieflings. But he’s so ambitious he just goes along with it.

Due to starting over a handful of times cause I missed content I wanted to see, I've done the shadow druid fight 3 or 4 times and the good guy druids have never wildshaped for me. They still weren't amazing backup, but I was surprised to hear that's something they could do. You didn't mention the wolf joining the fight so is that unique too?

YES i couldn’t think of who she reminded me of, but Angela Lansbury is a great shout. I love her reaction when you give her a pat as well, I think it’s something like “you always did that the best” 🥺

My favorite piece of equipment from these areas is the returning pike sold by the goblin vendor. It makes a throw barbarian build viable. Although it sometimes doesn't return and then I forget it on the ground which is frustrating.

I didn’t even know the spot existed until my 3rd playthrough, so I’m glad I checked! It is a bit of a shame how many seemingly major characters don’t make it if you’re doing an evil playthrough. It starts to feel a little lonely, which does make sense.

A fun detail with Tara is if you play as Gale as an origin character she’s in camp the entire game (or at least all of act one lol). She doesn’t do much except give you a very rare ring (I think it gives you advantage on Dex saving throws??) and another friend to give scritches to, but it’s still rad as!!

Well now I'm just wondering if Alfira ran to the hideout to try and keep the kids safe, or if the kids thought inviting her tin would be giving her sanctuary from the slaughter. :(

I bought the Ring of Protection from Ants in the druid camp, and at most of the way through Act 3 it has never been unequipped. Have had no trouble with ants whatsoever.

I was always wondering where Alfira is during that whole thing! I could never find her in the Grove after you kill the Goblins

One thing I love doing as preperation for the Raid, if I’m defending it, is to plant all the dozens of explosive barrels you can find in the Underdark around the entrance then lit em up after calling the Minthara’s goons to the door. It felt very Helm’s deep. One of my favorite encounters in the game. Good stuff

Unsure if this counts as a spoiler, so be warned. The children in the druid camp do not survive. Alfira and the kids can be found in Mol’s hideout all having been killed by the goblins. Pretty sad and gruesome to walk through in all honesty.
