Time for the weekly update!

Writing.

This week was a straight up writing sprint for Project B's second chapter. I'm pretty much done with the rough draft, and will be cleaning it up over the next few days. That should give me time to spare before the release on Sunday. We're on schedule.

It's looking to be another 8,000 to 9,000 word chapter this time, much the same as the last one.

Patreon's new up-front payment option.

In other news, Patreon is trialing a new payment option, whereby creators can choose to bill their patrons immediately rather than after the month is over. The main advantage of this is if the creator is experiencing a lot of sub-scamming — people signing up to get the Patreon only content and then revoking their patronage before they're billed.

So far, we've experienced none of that :) — so I'm leaning towards not changing anything for the moment. I might change my mind if sub-scamming does start to become a problem, though.

Patreon has released their Wordpress integration app, which means that on Sunday, instead of having to input a password on the Richard Struggle site to access the new chapter, you'll instead by able to access it through your Patreon account. Couldn't have asked for better timing.

If you've been on discord recently, you might have noticed we have a new channel under the Patreon section called creakylid-editoral-draft. This is a channel where I can specifically receive feedback, either of spelling and grammar, or of the story in more general terms. I won't be participating much in the discussions, but I promise you that I will be lurking, clipboard and pencil in hand.
