Hi all,

It's time for another update! And I've got some important things to talk about.

This Sunday, we'll be having a chapter part release for the Richard Struggle Series. You might have noticed that I said, 'this Sunday,' rather than, 'this week,' as I occasionally have in the past.' That's because, with the one year anniversary of this Patreon campaign coming up (in only ten weeks time!), I've been thinking about my work output and the level that it's settled down into recently.

Generally, I've been outputting between 4,000-5,000 words a week. Now that's all fine and dandy, but what you all can't see is the nature of that work. A good chunk of it is done... shall we say, closer to deadline than the other way around. For better or worse, three days seems to be a good timeframe for me to work to a deadline. Longer, and my focus has a tendency to slip.

I'm not happy with this, because I believe I can do better while maintaining quality. But I also have to acknowledge that this is the way I work.

So, for the next ten weeks, I'm going to try an experiment.

Two publishing days a week instead of one — Sunday and Wednesday. The chapter parts will be slightly smaller (3,000-4,000 words), but the overall goal is to push my weekly output from 4-5k to 6-8k.

At the end of the ten weeks, I'll evaluate how the experiment went and adjust accordingly.
