HB Atom Ant 7 - the origin of 'Flesh-Colored' Eyes

Instead they just painted the whole face including the eyes in caucasian 'flesh color'. this continued through the 70s and 80s and it was always a mystery to me. In this Atom Ant story I decided to come up with a logical reason for it.

I think and feel that the eyes turning flesh colored is the eventual schedule and budget cuts at that time. Would and could these be corroborated? All in all, we’re all hoping and praying for you. Everything is going to be excellent.
