Welcome to my Island of Misfit Toys!
You might be wondering what that means, so let me explain. In the old stop-motion Christmas special Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer, the Island of Misfit toys is a magical place where toys that are unloved, unwanted or different live. The Island of Misfit Toys has a train with square wheels, an elf that wants to be a dentist, a bird that swims, for example. They are all toys that don't exactly fit in. However they are each valuable and unique.
That's me! Where else would a Deaf Amputee live? That's probably you too. That's probably why you are here. You either belong on the Island of Misfit Toys or you know someone who belongs.
I have decided that I am the Matriarch of the Island of Misfit Toys. Why? Because most of my friends are misfits - and we are damn proud of it too.
