This month I was able to use all the money I have made so far on Patreon since I started it to buy a mini-split heating and cooling unit for my bedroom! That room is a former porch and is very poorly temp regulated with poor access to the central AC system. This winter when we had a cold snap I had to have TWO heaters going just to keep it warm enough in there for my family to sleep. In the summer my window AC unit air often smelled like dirty gym socks even though I took it out of the window, took it apart and cleaned it like every other month. One time I even accidentally sliced my finger on it and had to get stitches. My son also can’t play on our deck because the window unit sticks out there and he really wants to play with the fins and stick his fingers all up in there.
Because of all your support I could afford to get a mini-split (It’s a heating/cooling unit with an outdoor component and an indoor air handler) which I’ll install myself.
I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate you all and can’t wait to be comfy in my bedroom without having plug-in heaters and gym-sock window AC units.
