When Radcliffe, especially, is talking with Aida (but when he's telling people in general) and saying what he's trying to do, there's no reason for him to lie. He's actually saying what his intentions are. He was duplicitous with SHIELD agents (after he read the Darkhold) but was always truthful with Aida, especially, so that needs to be taken into consideration rather than just writing him off as simply a liar and saying, "You don't mean that." He actually does mean what he says, he's just got a skewed perspective of what's good for everyone or in how to create what's good for everyone.
