“Hello Tanya, Irina, Kate it’s good to see you. Welcome to our home.”Carlisle greeted the trio as they exited their car. Rosalie got out of her convertible and leaned against the hood watching the women. She hadn’t been told the Denali were visiting and found the timing suspicious. Especially because the mated triad usually spent the entire week of Christmas alone celebrating without their other two coven mates every year. Rosalie had been told they even did it when their sire was alive so Rosalie doubted that they broke that tradition to stop in and say hello. That meant that Carlisle called Tanya and told her about the necklace and invited Tanya to visit in hopes of getting her to convince Rosalie to let him study it. That was not going to happen though. It was a gift from her mate and she would not disrespect Santa by using such a personal gift as a science experiment.

“Hello Carlisle it’s good to see you as well.”Tanya and her mates had cut their vacation short once they got a call from Carlisle telling them about the necklace Rosalie received from Santa. It was her hope that Rosalie would be willing to at least let her see it if she wasn’t going to let Carlisle so she could figure out a way to duplicate it.

“Nice car Rosalie.”Kate said.

“Thank you. It was a gift from Santa.”A gift Rosalie was completely in love with. She had spent hours the day before driving around with the top down enjoying the warm sun on her skin.

“Santa must really like you.”Irina had known of most of the gifts Santa gave Rosalie and couldn’t believe how extravagant and thoughtful they were.

“What did you guys get?”Emmett asked when he, Kala and Alice joined everyone on the front lawn.

“Something we would rather keep private.”Irina didn’t want to talk about the gifts Santa gave them.

“Why would you want to keep your presents private?”Alice asked.

“Wait did Santa give you guys sex toys?!”Emmett knew he was right when Irina looked away.”Oh my god she did!”

“You guys asked Santa for sex toys?”Kala didn’t think that would be something Santa would give.

“Who better than Santa to ask for something strong enough for a vampire to use?”Kate wasn’t shy about their gifts. None of them had asked Santa for sex toys but once they opened the packages they all realized it’s what they really wanted not the things they asked for.

“That’s actually a good point.”Kala would have to pull Kate aside later to ask her what type of things Santa gave her.

“So what brings you by?”Rosalie wanted to change the subject from sex toys because the thought of her mate having access to ones that vampires could use was making her think thoughts she would rather have when she was in her soundproofed room all alone with the door locked.

“We hadn’t visited you here yet and thought that Christmas break while you guys aren’t at school was the perfect time.”Tanya lied.

Rosalie didn’t believe that for a second.”Where are Carmen and Eleazar?”

“They didn’t want to come.”Tanya once again lied. She didn’t ask them because they weren’t with them when Carlisle called.

“That’s to bad.”Rosalie said.

“Why don’t you guys come inside and I can show you the gifts Santa brought me.”Alice wanted to show off her gift to people who loved fashion as much as she did.

“What did you get?”Kate asked.

“I asked for a custom outfit from Carolina Herrera but instead of one I got three plus a coat and three pairs of shoes that Carolina designed as well.”Alice had tried to find other shoes made by the woman online but hadn’t even heard rumors of another pair existing. Alice had already written a long thank you letter to Santa for the gift.

“That’s a nice gift too.”Irina usually asked for practical things from Santa but was going to ask for something frivolous next year.

“It’s not as cool as my gift. Santa got me an appointment with a designer at Nintendo who is not only going to give me the new system before it’s released she arranged for them to make a whole video game based on my appearance.”Emmett had been working on a list of all the things he wanted his game to include.

“That’s a great gift as well.”Kate didn’t get why the Cullens got such incredible gifts.

“I got three of Georgian O’Keefe’s sketchbooks that are from her private collection that have never been seen by the public.”Kala enjoyed the books a lot more than she would have just a painting.

“Jasper got all his army uniforms, the items he left behind in camp and information on his family to include pictures from his human years and a complete family tree.”Alice had already rearranged their bedroom to allow Jasper to have space to display all his stuff.

“Carlisle got his father’s rosary and the cross he used to wear around his neck.”Emmett said.

“It was a very thoughtful gift from her.”Carlisle felt horrible that he had a hand in trying to drug Santa after seeing the extraordinary gift he was given.

“What did Edward and Esme get?”Tanya asked.

“Esme got some special hard to find soil for her greenhouse and Edward got a blank cassette tape.”Kala told her.

“Did Edward ask for the cassette tape?”Irina couldn’t think of any other reason Santa would have given it to him.

“Santa hates Edward. It all started after Rosalie was changed. Instead of fulfilling his wish list Santa gives him crappy gifts. The year that Edward went on his killing spree Santa didn’t give him anything.”Alice explained.

“I didn’t know anyone could make an enemy out of Santa.”Kate had never known Santa to be so vindictive to anyone. She only knew of people not receiving gifts not getting crappy gifts for decades.”What do you think he did to piss Santa off so bad?”

“We all think Santa has a crush on Rosalie and because Rosalie hates Edward Santa hates him as well.”Kala said.

“Why do you think Santa has a crush on Rosalie?”Irina thought that Santa was a happily married man.

“Rosalie what was the gift Santa gave you the year you were turned and killed those men?”Kala asked the blond.

“Santa gave me my grandmother’s engagement and wedding rings.”Rosalie had been touched because she thought they were lost to her.

“See Rosalie kills people gets a nice sentimental priceless gift, Edward kills people and he gets nothing followed by a lifetime of mediocre gifts.”Kala said.

“Don’t forget the fact that Rosalie acts horrible throughout the year and never writes Santa a letter and she gets really rad gifts that usually cost a fortune. Like the race car.”Emmett pointed out.

“And she got the necklace and convertible after Santa caught Rosalie trying to drug her.”Alice thought that incident was more than enough proof that Santa had a crush on Rosalie.

“What do you mean Rosalie tried to drug Santa?”Tanya hadn’t been told anything about Santa being drugged.

“There was an incident with me putting sleeping pills in the milk we left out for her. Santa caught me and put me to sleep instead.”Rosalie began only to be cut off by Kate.

“You were put to sleep?”Kate had never heard of a vampire sleeping.

“We aren’t sure how she did it but assume it was some type of gift she has that allows her to affect vampires.”Carlisle had wanted to run some test on Rosalie but the blond wouldn’t let him. That frustrated him as much as her not letting him touch the necklace did.

“Why do you call Santa a she? It’s well known he’s an old man.”Irina thought it was odd that all of the Cullens including Carlisle called Santa a girl.

“Actually she isn’t and as proof Rosalie has a picture on her phone of Santa taking a selfie with her passed out body.”Emmet told her.

“You have a picture of Santa?”Tanya wasn’t sure if she believed that.

“Yes I do.”It was a picture Rosalie looked at often.

“Can we see it?”Kate wanted to know what Santa looked like.

Rosalie was reluctant to show anyone a picture of her mate but didn’t really see the harm. Pulling her phone out of her pocket she unlocked it and handed it to Kate.”Here.”

“Holy shit Santa is a girl.”Kate handed the phone to Irina.

“A young girl.”Irina couldn’t believe how young Santa was.

“Her eyes are very unique.”Tanya said.

“It’s kind of hilarious that she not only took a picture with your passed out body but she used the Santa filter for the picture.”Seeing the picture Kate thought Santa was someone she would like hang out with. Especially if she could make a vampire sleep. With that power Kate could pull all kinds of pranks.

“I wished she hadn’t so we could have seen what she really looks like.”Rosalie wanted to know what her mate looked like.

Tanya handed the phone back to Rosalie.”What happened after she put you to sleep?”

“While I was sleeping she erased all the video I was taking in and outside of the house to catch her except for the footage of me putting the pills in the milk. I was embarrassed that she caught me and somewhat worried but in one of my gifts she put a letter where she apologized for letting me believe some false information and to make it up to me she gave me this necklace that blocks mental gifts from working on me and makes me not sparkle in the sun.”Rosalie held up the snowflake pendant.

“It really works?”Irina asked.

“Yes as soon she put it on Edward was no longer able to hear her thoughts, Jasper's gift no longer works and recently we found out that Alice can’t see her future. As for the sun Rosalie doesn’t sparkle one bit when exposed to it.”Carlisle was desperate to get his hands on the necklace so that he could have the same abilities.

“Amazing.”Tanya would love to be immune to mental gifts.

“Being able to go out in the sun would be very beneficial.”Irina would love to go to the beach and swim in the ocean on a clear day.

“I spent all day yesterday driving around with top down on my car.”Rosalie told them.

“I think you guys are right Santa has a crush on Rosalie. Not only does she forgive her for killing people Santa forgives Rosalie for trying to drug her and actually apologizes to Rosalie and gives her a gift that many would kill for. Love is the only reason someone would go to those extremes.”Kate fully believed that Santa was in love with Rosalie.

“I am grateful for the gifts she has given me.”Rosalie hoped that Santa was in love with her because Rosalie was already in love with Santa. Rosalie hadn’t gotten a reply from her yet but she wasn’t worried. It would depend on how long it took for Santa to get her letter.

“Do you think maybe I could see the necklace?”Tanya asked.

“As I told Carlisle and the rest of the family no one is touching the necklace.”Rosalie knew that was the whole reason Tanya came.

“If we figured out what it’s made out of we could make more so that both our families could be protected from mental gifts.”Tanya wasn’t going to back down. It was to important to her family to have necklaces like Rosalie’s.

“I understand what you’re saying however the necklace was a gift given as an apology from Santa. If she wanted any of you to have one she would have already given to you.”Rosalie didn’t care who it would help she wasn’t going to part with Santa’s gift.”And besides I can’t take it off. The claps is magical in nature and it can never be removed.”

“You expect us to believe that the necklace won’t come off?”Kate didn’t believe that for a second.

“I’ve tried it doesn’t come off.”Rosalie told her.

“We can still test it if you are wearing it.”Carlisle wasn’t deterred. He wanted the necklace.

“I’m not willing to piss Santa off by abusing a gift she gave me.”Even if Santa was alright with it Rosalie wasn’t going to let anyone touch a gift her mate gave her. Especially such a beautiful piece of jewelry. Rosalie had studied the snowflake and compared it to Santa’s eyes and found that they matched. Knowing that Santa gave her something so personal had Rosalie extra protective of it.

“Rosalie I don’t think you are understanding the situation. You have in your possession something that could render almost all of the Volturi guards and Aro useless. If there is a way to protect others it’s your duty to help.”Carlisle told her.

“It’s not my duty to help anyone. I mean besides Santa who the fuck has ever helped me?”Rosalie asked.

“We have all helped you many times.”Carlisle was upset Rosalie thought otherwise.

“Name one specific thing you have ever done to help me.”Rosalie crossed her arms and waited.

“I helped you the night of your attack.”Carlisle told her.

“No you didn’t help me. You stole my chance at peace so I could become Edward’s plaything until he tossed me away for his mate. From then on you have forced me into the role of bitchy blond ice queen. I have many times said I would like go off on my own but you won’t give me the resources to do so. Making it so I’m stuck in perpetual hell going to high school over and over dealing with horny teenagers who leer and make comments behind my back and to my face. So Carlisle you didn’t help me you sentenced me to a fate worse than death.”Rosalie wasn’t helped she was condemned.

“I love you like my own daughter and gave all the help and support you needed over the years. How can you say I haven’t?”Carlisle was firm in his belief he helped Rosalie.

“Your support is conditional. To obtain it we have to do exactly what you tell us to do. As soon as we step over the line you take it away and we have to earn it back. The support we do get is only when things are good. If any of us is struggling you don’t want to know about it or you tell us to pray on it.”Rosalie had stopped going to Carlisle after the first time he told her to pray for those that attacked her instead of killing them.

“That’s kind of true.”Emmett said earning an elbow in the side.

“Stay out of this.”Kala felt this was something Rosalie needed to deal with on her own.

“My support is never conditional and praying is a very reasonable way to deal with problems.”Carlisle was a firm believer that god would guide them.

“I was gang raped, beaten and left for dead only instead of dying I woke up to an argument between Edward and Esme about Edward marking my neck before I woke up so that he had a claim on me. When I brought it up to you you told me to pray to find peace with my new life.”Rosalie said.

“Is that true Carlisle. Did Edward try to mark Rosalie before she woke up?”Tanya had never heard about that.

“Everyone was emotional at the time. Edward didn’t mean it.”Carlisle told her.

“What the fuck? No wonder Santa hates Edward.”Emmett would never look at Edward the same again.

“Edward did mean it because the first time I was alone with both of you you tried to convince me it was Edward’s right as my mate to mark me. That was the last time I trusted either of you.”Rosalie had never believed a word Edward or Carlisle said after that.

“Carlisle what is the meaning of this?”Tanya couldn’t believe what her old friend had tried to do.

“That’s not how it happened. Rosalie had shown interest in Edward and Edward was politely turning her down.”Carlisle lied.

“That’s not true because not only have I always been an out and proud lesbian even in my human years I will once again remind you that I had been gang raped by a bunch of men and was uncomfortable even being the same room as one.”Rosalie was never interested in Edward.

“That’s true. Rosalie couldn’t be around me alone without bolting out of the room for years after we met.”Emmet wasn’t offended by Rosalie actions. He knew it wasn’t about him personally.

“So is the lesbian part. Rosalie had me check many times on her human lover after I joined the coven.”Alice had been more than happy to help Rosalie.

“That means Carlisle is lying and he and Edward tried to force Rosalie to be marked by Edward therefore putting a claim of ownership on her.”A vampire biting another vampire left behind a scent marker warning others away from the vampire with the bite. If Rosalie had been marked by Edward then everyone would think he was her mate. Irina couldn’t think of anything more despicable.

“I have a feeling that Carlisle is not going to like what Santa does to him next year.”Kala said.

“The apology and admittance of why Rosalie was turned seems like empty words now.”Emmet said.

“Do you think Santa is going to attack him?”Alice asked.

“Santa isn’t going to do anything because I’ve done nothing wrong.”Carlisle was fully supportive of Edward claiming Rosalie. His son had picked her out when she was human but the other men got to her before Carlisle could.

“Rosalie are you going write Santa about this?”Kala would if she was Rosalie.

“I don’t know what Santa already knows.”Rosalie decided to bring all this up when she met Santa. Maybe she would be able to do something to help Rosalie other than not giving him gifts.

“Carlisle I am disgusted with you right now.”Tanya turned her attention to Rosalie.”I wish you had told me about this a long time ago. I would have acted.”

“By the time I met you guys I had settled into a rhythm. The pair don’t bother me that much and I like the rest of the family. Now that I can block Edward’s gift I am perfectly content.”Rosalie wasn’t going to make any decisions for the future until she talked to Santa. She may have an alternative to how Rosalie was living her life. Rosalie at least thought she did because Rosalie doubted Santa of all people would want to live with the Cullens and go to high school.

“We can discuss later giving you the resources to live on your own if that is still what you wish to do.”Tanya wouldn’t mind helping Rosalie out.

“Rosalie is a part of my coven. She isn’t leaving.”Carlisle wasn’t going to lose one of his coven members.

Tanya ignored Carlisle.“We’ll talk later.”

“Sure.”Rosalie wouldn’t be saying much because she wasn’t letting anyone know that Santa was her mate.

“Now then let’s leave Rosalie to her garage and you guys can show us your Christmas presents.”Tanya would put the necklace on the back burner until she had her talk later with Rosalie. She had many things she wanted to discus with the blond.

“I’m staying out here.”Rosalie told her as she walked over and hit the button to close the garage door. No one bothered her in her garage because if they did Rosalie wouldn’t hesitate to show her displeasure. Be it with violence towards the person or their belongings no one wanted to be the focus of Rosalie’s wrath. Rosalie wondered how Tanya and her mates were going to deal with Carlisle and Edward. Rosalie doubted that they would just leave them alone after finding out what Rosalie told them. She also wondered what Santa knew. She had ignored Carlisle for years after Rosalie was turned until he apologize and admitted his reasons for turning her. Now he was back to justifying not only him turning her but Edward trying to claim her by force. Rosalie thought it would be a good idea to tell Santa. Maybe the woman would have some way to deal with both of them because the only way Rosalie could think of was to kill them and they both would prefer that over any kind of punishment. Thinking about Santa Rosalie sighed. She wished she had sent her letter with a signature required when it was delivered so she knew when Santa got it. The waiting to find out if Santa would talk to her was excruciating.
