Yes yes yes! We are a product of following a similar model. We have 0 debt, a three year emergency fund, own all our vehicles and toys, two acreage properties, and a sizeable retirement fund. This is not to toot our horn but to prove that it does work. Our kids have been following it as well and in the late teens and early twenties have enough for down payments on their houses. They own their cars and utilize credit properly for gains only. Our 20 year old son hit the Kodak stock pick and made 18K on that with money he earned and saved on his own. We are average folks, neither of us have college degrees or come from wealth, just blue collar workers.
