Thanks for your message and for all that you do for us. Lots of great advice on lifestyle and food choices. My perspective: The basic difference in COVID and those non-flu diseases you mentioned is that it’s so contagious, while the others are not. Someone’s diabetes is not a direct threat to me. My cancer cannot make you have cancer. My obesity has no direct impact on my neighbor. These are all VERY serious illnesses and are being attacked through research, treatments, etc. However, COVID can be transmitted from one person to another. IMO it’s real, it’s nasty and needs to be treated as such. That’s why it matters and deserves to be addressed differently than the non contagious illnesses. It’s killed a LOT of people already and from all indications, it’s going to keep killing until a vaccine is developed. I know masks are not a popular topic, but I’ll trust the docs that I know who confirm a mask’s effectiveness, especially since I’m around elderly all day, every day. I hear and respect your concerns about the vaccine, you could be correct, but comparing it to the other conditions, diseases, etc. like cancer, diabetes, is apples to oranges.
