Unusual Preps

I apologize for not getting a video up yesterday, my internet is so slow I could not get it up in time.

Unusual Preps

Also with the old clothing - once we are into the famine, we need to be losing weight at the same rate as the hungry folk, or at least look like it. We could wear the clothing again once we are smaller, and if the clothing becomes too large for us due to weight loss, we can wear it again to make ourselves seem smaller. Quilt blocks or quilt squares are the terms you were searching for, and wisely so. For generations that is the only way families acquired "new" blankets or quilts to keep warm. They would put the oldest, most raggedy blanket or quilt in the center for padding, and the "new" outsides would last for a number of years. Remember threads of all weights, as they will be required for sewing projects such as this, and many others. Learning to tan hides would be extremely useful, as furs and tanned hides could be used to make almost anything! I'd recommend a leather apron for each member of the family, to spare soil and damage to clothing, which will have to last a long time.

Same is happening to many - Mr. Tom from Deep South Alabama, for example, and I think Alaskan Prepper mentioned the same, along with many others. Perhaps we should become accustomed to such slowdowns, in preparation for worse. At any rate, kindly do not shoot your toe off - we love you and know things do happen.
