Very true John. I hope we can fix our nation without armed conflict, but it seems less likely as time passes.

I am a soldier currently serving. I'm just about to get out soon. I also study history. We have gone well beyond the point of the drawn line in the sand that our Founding Fathers would have believed us possible. They would either count us as extremely patient, or extremely docile.
The fact is, the Founding Fathers got angry and fought back for much less than we are experiencing today, and we are taking it, for no reason other than fear of identity politics and a culture of idiots thinking that words are the best weapon.
We are seeing the opening stages of another civil war. The chaos, the insurgency being conducted, the lack of any government leadership, and the growing issues abroad, the US is careening towards a Civil War, whether we want it or like it, or not. And this Civil War will be incredibly bloody and violent.
