So we are prepared to bunker in for long term with bugout locations for an emergency. A concept I’ve been working on is bugout staging. Basically it’s a short term fairly close but safe location from the homestead. The idea is to lay low for a predetermined period of time to collect stragglers and then recon the homestead to see if it’s safe to return and or grab more supplies that are hidden. If unsafe, obviously leave and head to a more remote bugout location. Recon would probably be done after dark with nods and probably done on foot leaving an ORV(s) nearby for transport and potentially QRF if it hit the fan.
