I wouldn't go as far as to saying that everyone is in a cult but if something is not done soon it will end up like that. Hope we can make a change before its too lateπ

2020-09-12 12:12:26 +0000 UTCUnfortunately I've found that many Indians also embrace this kind of inane exceptionalism, raving about how Indian culture or food or music is the best in the world, as if this is some kind of competition. An appreciation of one's own culture is important, of course, but so is recognising that it's only one among many unique and wonderful cultures around the globe that should all be celebrated and learned from, not ranked against each other.

Don't mean to diss Americans, but I have felt that your movies, TV shows, sitcoms, media etc seem to always stress on the statement 'We live in the greatest country in the world' and this has been drilled into the American psyche for decades. Its brought a superiority complex amongst, not all Americans but a rather large section of people. I am sure you guys know the section of people I am talking about. Again this isn't a generalisation but unfortunately that number is quite large today. All the Americans I have met have been very friendly and nice people thoughπ
