Maratha empire also lasted a good period and large parts of India. Prithviraj Chauhan had significantly smaller influence - nowhere near the size and duration of Akbar reign and cultural impact (integrating hindu and Muslims through alliances, religious tolerance, patronisation of arts, Tansen, Birbal etc.
