Here's a yawny boy.
I hope everybody had a good January! I've been keeping busy, as always.
Pre-production for Frozen '50s Man #3 is well underway. The episode is all cast and we're scheduling our filming dates now for after Mardi Gras – late February, early March. I've been ordering lots of new props and costumes (among other things, a shitload of faux fur and a pair of shockingly realistic fake penises).
Pretty soon, I'll be building a couple of new sets in place of the old crypt. I'm pretty excited about that as I had a ton of fun putting that together for the resurrection scene in Lincolnites. 90% of my job is staring at a computer screen so I find working with my hands energizing and refreshing.
As far as regularly scheduled content, I have something really fun already half-filmed that I'll come back to and complete in the coming weeks. When I was driving back home from Massachusetts I stopped at a hotel that I soon discovered had a very dark and creepy history – not a fun-spooky-ghost-tour type creepy, but a Jesus-Christ-that's-horrible type creepy. It seemed like the hotel management was eager to keep it quiet, so naturally I had to film an impromptu video about it. Klaus will make an appearance, if that gives you any ideas.
Work on The Sudbury Devil continues pretty much daily. Eduardo and I are shooting the last pickup shot soon, probably this week; my producer is looking for a VFX artist to hire for the smattering of digital effects; I'm fine tuning edits in anticipation for a mid-March picture lock, and methodically ticking off a to-do list longer than a toilet paper roll for the sound design.
As per the perks of the Sudbury crowdfunding campaign back in the ancient pre-apocalyptic times of March 2020, if you donated $50 or more to the movie, you get to be in our "focus group" and see a cut of the film early so we can get your feedback on it. That will probably be pretty soon, so look out for an email from me.
