Late spring update

I just finished a hour-long super pretentious politically radical analysis of Ravenous which is very spicy. It's currently languishing in copyright claim hell – so it might be ready tomorrow, or it might be ready three weeks from now, I don't know.
Now that that's done, I'll be hopping back into The Sudbury Devil for a bit to polish off the last of the sound design. The movie has seen some exciting recent developments – we are rapidly approaching the finish line of post-production and are starting to get serious about organizing exhibition and finding distribution. It's been a little more than a year since filming wrapped, and almost four years since I wrote the first draft of the script, so it's thrilling and somewhat scary that the end is in sight, and that this chapter of my life will soon come to an end.
Moving into this summer, the lion's share of the remaining post work will be in the hands of capable colleagues like my composer, sound supervisor, and colorist, meaning I'll be operating in more of a supervisory role. Happily that means I'll have plenty of time for Atun Shei projects.
I'm heading up to Massachusetts for an extended visit soon, and plan to make an elaborate documentary-style thing up there – possibly a piece on the founding of the real-life Sudbury plantation called "The Birth of an American Town," or possibly "Atun-Shei's Walden" (I've been reading a lot of Thoreau recently and by god, that man gets it).
Anyway, how 'bout that Succession finale?
