A slight change of plan

I took a hard look at the calendar and decided that if I wanted to finish the next Checkmate Lincolnites on schedule, not rush my Leif Erikson Day special, and get the first cut of my movie done by the end of the month, I'd need to move Checkmate to the front of the queue.
The next episode will be the penultimate one. I'm writing the script now, and I plan is to shoot most of it – the Billy/Johnny parts – around the end of September.
Sadly, you won't get to see it until much later. I'll have to sit on that footage for a while, because the episode is ending with... let's just say, a bang. It's a short sequence but a complex one, and it will probably take most of October to execute. This will be the first major project in the new studio, so that's exciting.
So cool shit is coming, but the bad news is that apart from the requisite Leif Erikson Day special, there will probably be a bit of a dearth of videos this spooky season. I'm bummed that I won't have time for a Halloween themed video this year (again), because I have a great idea for one about Anne Rice and the vampires of New Orleans. The King Philip's War one I mentioned in the last update will have to get delayed too. Oh well.
P.S. In other news, I got inspired in the shower today and scribbled down the first five pages of Frozen '50s Man Episode 3.
