Hey all, sorry for the radio silence this month.

I've been working on that video about the slave trade I told you about (it's a heavy one – should be up for early access shortly) and doing a ton of casting and location scouting for The Vampires of New Orleans, as well as filming tons of talking-head interviews for the "docu" part of this docudrama.

I've also been dealing with some stupid bullshit that I will only briefly bore you with. While driving home from a recent road trip, my car broke down due to the engine running out of oil, 2K miles before it was due for a change. I suspect incompetence by my local Subaru dealership is the cause, and now I'm haggling with them to replace my engine. It's shocking how much time stupid bullshit like this tends to take up in life.

On the side, I've also been making inroads for research on that Frankenstein video (the 2017 annotated edition by Leslie Klinger is a gold mine), and commissioned some book-accurate artwork from friend of the channel Ben Wickey.

I'm home for the next three weeks, then heading up to New England for a wedding (will be happy to get out of New Orleans during the 20th anniversary of Katrina. The vibes are always bad here that time of year) and will do some Revolutionary War filming while I'm there.
