And just like you, I couldn't believe they ended the episode like that!! On another note though, loved seeing the interaction between Klaus and Caroline

2021-11-20 23:13:32 +0000 UTCThe white oak stake was slightly convenient but not entirely deus ex machina...I believe there is grounds for it if you consider the dozens of stakes that Klaus had his hands on when Stefan handed them back to him in S3 of VD, the last two of which we didn't exactly see him burn the last one was Alaric's that later became the indestructible one, this one that he was hiding very much being the end all be all trump card that he never pulled out or told anybody about....for his own use. It's probably not like they planned on him having it but it's possible considering there were many that he had in his possession back in the day and could have kept one. I forgot how much of episode 12 is callback to TVD.....I never realized and SEVERALLY Geeked out when i saw Elena Gilbert MD sign on the window...I was like go inside immediately! lmaoSame every shot of the Salvatore House and seeing the office and the living room of the salvatore house OMG so many epic iconic scenes that happened right there! DELENA kiss, Stefan Damon fighting, making up, Mason getting his ass tortured lmao too much history in that house down to Alaric and Klaus back together when you remember Klaus took his body originally hahaha
