Few postmodern buildings besides AT&T building have been able to capture so much of what people appreciated about older pre-1930 styles (Detailing, order, proportioning, etc) and adjust them in a masterpiece for the modern era. It's disturbing to see architects repeating some of the mistakes they made in the last century. On another note, hopefully this white/blue glass Chipoltle-Modern aesthetic that's been en-vogue since about 2000 wears off soon.

I'm iffy on this building aesthetically but it well merits preserving just on its historic basis. This remains the icon of PostModern architecture. In addition the renditions of the replacement are awful. I can't even tell what they are going to do.
