May 2024 Production Update

Hello, friends.

I've noticed some people are turned off by the length of these update posts but, obviously, nobody's obligated to read them, and I want to keep my followers informed in detail of my production status, and figure most of them appreciate that.

I'm kidding, of course; everyone has to read this, and I'll beat up anyone who doesn't.

I finally released the hour-long first episode of my new all-machinima series Hard Justice this month, now available for public viewing on my YouTube channel. The view count's nothing to gawk at so far, but with today's attention spans and sheer volume of content, I'm hardly surprised. Who would be? The show doesn't contain me scantily-clad in a hot tub. I'm hoping the show will increase in popularity a bit as time goes on.

Among those who've watched it, its reception has been overwhelmingly positive, which has been a relief. I thank all my fans for their patience leading up to the episode's release, and to those who left a comment on the video page, or sent me an e-mail containing their thoughts on the premiere. I'm grateful for the feedback, whether it's positive or constructively critical.

For those interested, I broadcasted a couple of streams regarding the episode on YouTube: one just before the premiere of the video and the other right after, both of which should be accessible on the live stream tab of my channel. I'd like to keep accompanying my episode premieres with a stream, but going forward I'll probably only do a post-release one.

Around the middle of the month I was kindly featured on a number of different podcasts and streams: Pure Kino's podcast Into The Kinoverse, the SideScrollers podcast hosted by Stuttering Craig, Every Frame A Pause (EFAP), hosted by MauLer, Fringy and Rags, and Metal's Forge, hosted by MetalCommander and Marc the Cyborg. Into the Kinoverse can be found for free listening on Spotify. The other shows can be found on YouTube. If you only listen to one and you'd like to hear me talk in-depth about Hard Justice, the Into the Kinoverse episode is the one to tune into.

Later in the month I finally got around to recording a few streams of me playing Sonic Adventure 1 and 2. I got through the first game from start to finish, but not the second. I'll resume the latter's gameplay when I can. I had a lot of fun recording those streams, and thank everyone who tuned in and generously sent superchats and initiated memberships, it's enormously helpful to me.

I adjusted the sorting method of a few of my YouTube playlists based on whether they're in production or complete series of episodes, and made adjustments to the links to those playlists on my website, imaginativelogo.com. I encourage people to report broken links or improvements that may be made on my website or channel pages to me via an e-mail or direct message, and appreciate whenever people have done so previously.

As I've said before, very rough drafts of an entire season of episodes of Hard Justice have been written already, and I've recently finished a second pass on the script for the second episode. It needs at least a couple more passes, but much of the heavy lifting on the episode writing-wise is done.

It's my birthday today. I'm now 36. I'd do a celebratory stream of some kind, but I'm currently out of town, busy doing some preparation, as I'll be spending the next couple of weeks moving to a new place. I'd very much appreciate people's patience in regard to my taking time to set up before I resume work fully and stream again.

Bonus content for my backers on Patreon will resume, but not quite yet. I need to get settled in my new accommodation first, and then the next thing I'll start delivering in regard to bonus content is commentary on the episodes of season eight of Arby 'n' the Chief as, according to some chatty viewers on my most recent streams, that's the most interesting material of mine to cover next. I'll let people know when I start delivering that.

Thank you very much as always for your viewership, subscriptions, joining my Patreon as free members to be tuned into my production progress and, of course, to my financial contributors and donators via YouTube, Paypal, Streamlabs and the like, and people who have bought merchandise, for your tremendous support, it's such a help and I greatly appreciate it.
