Last Days of my Hiroshima Trip! Nara → Tomonoura → Sera Farm

Mark and I went on a 3.5hr road trip from his home in Fukuyama to Nara to see the deer during sakura season🌸 I had seen so many pretty photos from Nara Park during Spring so I really wanted to see it for myself!
Unfortunately the main day of our Nara Trip was raining😭 So we couldn't really enjoy the deer park. It was super muddy and we were just soaked and dirty and feeling gross so we didn't stay for long, haha. I got a few cute pics of the deer at least! If you aren't familiar with Nara Park, it's a big open park with lots of free roaming deer. They can come and go as they please but they choose to stay in the park because it's popular with tourists, so they get fed a lot😅 Unfortunately due to Japan being closed, Nara hasn't had many tourists the past few years and the deer have started to get really aggressive when they see a chance for food 👀 There are little stalls selling deer crackers that you can feed them, and some of the deer wait by the stalls until someone purchases them and then they swarm you and bite you until you give them a cracker😂
After our eventful deer adventure in Nara we drove back to Fukuyama and just chilled at home for the night. The next morning Mark took me to Tomonoura, a really cool fishing town not too far from his place! It was sooooo pretty. The narrow streets were lined with really old traditional style buildings, antique shops, and there were so many temples! Not to mention the gorgeous seaside 🌊✨ Since it's a popular tourist destination there were lots of trendy cafes and places to get snacks or lunch. We got some ocean themed sweets 😍 🍦
For my final day we went to Sera, another town not too far from Mark's house. They have a farm that's quite famous for seasonal flower displays! We were just in time for the sakura festival, but I was excited to see the nanohana! I think these are canola flowers in English? My allergies were HORRIBLE but they were really pretty😂🌼 Would love to go back there to see their other seasonal events!!
There's so much to see in the Hiroshima area, definitely worthy of adding to a future Japan travel list! 🙌💖
