Jaune's Pineapple Jam Part 2 Ch 8

Jaune’s ears rang as a sound that he could only call as a combined shriek and squeal came out from his mother’s mouth.

Before he knew it, she was already pushing him away from Pyrrha to take her hands on hers.

“You’re pregnant? You’re pregnant?! YOU’RE PREGNANT!” Juniper Arc celebrated by waving Pyrrha’s hands up and down.

Meanwhile, Blake and Weiss were snapping their heads between him and Pyrrha.

“Pyrrha’s pregnant?! How?! Why?! Why didn’t you tell us?!” Weiss asked rapidly, and Jaune could only wince as he remembered his own reaction when they learned the truth.

“I was trying not to think about it, okay? We didn’t actually plan for this to happen.”

He remembered passing out himself when he heard the news.

Really, did anyone think he was ready to be a father? He and Pyrrha were both too young to be parents.

And yet here they were.

Parents to be in front of their own parents.

“If you weren’t ready, then why didn’t you use protection?!” His mother snapped towards him with a horrified face before turning towards his father. “Gods, Nicholas! I told you! You should’ve talked with him about this instead of just saying confidence was all that mattered!”

Jaune cringed at that, but his father only waved his hand defensively.

“I mean, it got him here, right?!”

His mother only scowled at his father at that, but both male Arc’s salvation came from the mother of the new Arc.

“W-We were actually using birth control methods.” Pyrrha cut in nervously, blushing furiously as the attention gathered on her once again. “I-It’s just that while they’re 99.9% effective, they were no match for Jaune’s Semblance.”

Jaune blushed as Pyrrha finished with a squeak, and every single adult there turned to him in wonder.

“You use your Semblance for sex? The same Semblance you just used on me?” Willow asked with wide eyes before looking at her hand he held earlier.

Jaune could only nod silently with a blush on his face. He only blushed further when a smirk slowly crawled up Willow Schnee’s face as she put the same hand to her lips.

“Oh my.”

“Gods, I really do not need that image in my mind.” His mother groaned before turning towards Athena. “Athena, I’m assuming you already knew about this? What are your thoughts?”

“Obviously, my daughter will no longer fight in the tournament.” Athena answered before staring at Headmistress Goodwitch who only nodded back.

“Understandable.”

Pyrrha flushed, biting her lip in frustration, but still nodding in understanding.

Jaune knew that her competitive side wanted to participate, but both of them also knew that with her condition, it was impossible.

As unready as they were, they both chose to do their best to bring this new life into the world.

And that meant forfeiting.

“The rest of her team may of course continue, but they obviously would be at a disadvantage during the first rounds. Do you think you can do that, Mr. Arc?”

A certain memory rushed through him. It’s been so long since he thought about the dream that propelled him to do better, but he would never forget the fact that he took on the whole Vytal Tournament alone and won.

And so, he looked at Headmistress Goodwitch with full confidence on his face and nodded.

“Without a doubt.”

“See, I told you. Confidence.” Nicholas smiled, waving proudly at him, even as a bittersweet smile rose on Jaune’s face.

He could still remember how his father didn’t support his dream of becoming, and yet here he was, laughing without a care in the world.

Part of Jaune wanted to be angry and that part of him would probably be bitter for a long time, but looking at his father's bright smile aimed at him and Pyrrha, he could only let it go.

He sighed, even as his mother groaned loudly at his father for that.

“Ugh. Yes, fine. Though, I suppose we’ll have to plan to do the wedding as soon as possible after the Vytal Festival. I do not want my second grandchild to be born out of wedlock, understand?”

“How far along are you anyway, Pyrrha?” Weiss asked, looking at Pyrrha’s stomach in wonder.

A smile lit up Pyrrha’s face as she held her hands over her stomach at the question.

“2 months.”

“I guess we really have to plan that wedding now, huh?” Blake said while looking at Jaune who could only blush as he rubbed his head in embarrassment.

“How do we even start with that?”

He looked towards his mother for help at that, yet she only stared at his lovers confusedly. Jaune could understand. What even was the process for marrying more than one woman at the same time?

That’s when he heard a beautiful laugh.

“Don’t worry your head about it, dear.”

It was Kali, and the room seemed to brighten as she smiled at them.

“This isn’t the first time something like this has happened. While not really common, polygamy is still legal and practiced in Menagerie. In fact, there’s a small family here in Vale who got married that way back home.”

“There’s someone in the same boat as us?” Jaune blinked in wonder.

“Did you think you were unique?” Ghira grunted before wincing as Kali pinched his side. “They’re just the type of people who want to lie low because of….racism.”

“Racism? Are they all Faunus?” Blake asked, frowning even as she saw Willow Schnee wince at the word.

“No, but that’s the problem.” Ghira grumbled, but seeing everyone’s looks of confusion aimed towards him, he sighed in resignation.

“It’s one Horse Faunus and three human women.”

Winces came from everyone there as Ghira only growled.

“Stereotypical, I know, but I assure you, everything was consensual.”

Jaune could only nod in understanding. He saw how that could be bad. He himself had recently experienced how jealous people could be. A couple of guys even tried to mug him back in Argus.

At least he had the privilege of being a Huntsman to protect himself, this guy might as well have been a civilian.

“Ghira and I were already going to visit them later today. Might as well talk to them about something like this.” Kali interjected, patting her husband’s forearm to calm him down.

“In the meantime, I suppose we should get to know each other, shouldn’t we?” Athena suggested, looking at every single parent there.

Before anyone else could answer, however, Headmistress Goodwitch cleared her throat loudly.

“Ahem, might I suggest somewhere else other than my office?” She raised an eyebrow, leaving all the adults embarrassed before Weiss came to the rescue.

“We could go to the gardens facing the Emerald Forest. Winter and I had tea there once.” Weiss piped in, proud that she could assist her future-in-laws.

At the same time, Winter looked towards her commanding officer with a questioning tone.

“Sir?”

General Ironwood, however, only chuckled, already having an answer before his Specialist could even voice a question.

“Yes, Winter. You may join them to get to know your future in-laws.”

Winter gritted her teeth at that before sighing resignedly.

“...Thank you, sir.”

The look she gave Jaune as she acknowledged her superior was as cold as her name. He chuckled awkwardly, shrugging unsurely even as Winter sighed in resignation once again.

That’s when his mother clapped, however, gathering everyone’s attention once again.

“Well, since we are all going to be one big family, I think it's only fair you all meet my daughters. Some of them, at least.”

Jaune froze.

Her daughters.

His sisters.

His sisters, who they left with Yang and Ruby.

Gods, what were they going to say?!

In fact, what were they saying now?!

—---

“So you want to be an Arc?!”

A voice cut through the din of Beacon’s cafeteria, silencing everyone as all eyes gathered on one spot.

“Uhmm.”

“Yes or no! It's a simple question!”

“Yes!”

“Yes what?!”

“Yes, I want to be an Arc, ma’am!”

“Good! Now let us begin-”

“Forgive her, Jade is just being protective. She’s always had a soft spot for Jaune.”

The voice jolted Ruby out of her thoughts, and she looked across the table to see a blonde smiling embarrassedly at her.

Still, Ruby could only chuckle awkwardly as the one called Jade continued to harass/interrogate/interview her sister.

“She’s the one who’s the same age as me, right?”

“Yup, and I’m Merigold, 19 years old. The babysitter of this bunch by virtue of being the oldest present here today.” Merigold introduced herself with a smile on her face before waving widely at the surrounding blondes.

Ruby noted Merigold's well-kept appearance, other than that, however, she looked like your typical civilian.

“My name’s Bleu, 15 years old. You must be smart if you managed to get into Beacon two years early.” Bleu piped in, adjusting her glasses as she looked at Ruby with intense blue eyes.

“Bleu’s smart, but she gets a little competitive sometimes.” Merigold added, teasing her little sister in the same way Yang loved to tease Ruby.

“I do not.” Bleu pouted petulantly as her older sister mussed her hair.

They all turned to the side, however, when they heard peals of laughter. There they saw two blondes clinging to both of Yang’s arms.

“Now those are Mauve and Violet, 13 years old and twins, as you can see.”

“Do you all introduce yourselves with your age?” Ruby laughed, noting the way the Arcs introduced themselves.

“We have to, there’d be confusion otherwise.” Merigold nodded knowingly as Bleu chimed in.

“There are only five of us right now but imagine if both Rouge and Saphron were here. Those are our older sisters, by the way. 23 and 21 years old, respectively.”

Immediately, Ruby tried to imagine such a situation, and a sea of blondes suddenly formed in her mind’s eye.

“Yeah, I guess that could be confusing.”

Laughter came out from both blondes as they smiled at her.

“”You have no idea.””

Ruby smiled back.

At least she and Yang didn’t have that problem.

“Ugh.” A voice groaned, and they all watched as Jade sat back down with them while Yang continued to play with the twins. “She’s strong, at least. That’s good if she wants to protect Jaune.”

Ruby frowned as both Merigold and Bleu nodded in agreement.

“Sure, he wasn’t good at the beginning, but Jaune’s already strong, though. He doesn’t need any protection.”

She wasn’t there when Jaune led the charge to push the Grimm out of the city what with her being passed out with Yang inside Raven’s camp, but she’s heard enough stories from Weiss and Blake, and watched enough clips from the DustNet to know that Jaune really was strong.

So it made no sense to her why his own family would think that he needed protecting.

The sisters only winced, however, before looking at her awkwardly.

“Sorry, I guess we still really aren’t used to seeing him like that.” Merigold ventured.

“It’s just that Jaune wasn’t really the Huntsman type before he went to Beacon.” Jade added.

“We just want him to be safe.” Bleu finished.

Ruby blinked before tilting her head in confusion.

“If that’s how you think, then why did your family let him go to a Huntsmen Academy?”

They winced once again before looking at each other surreptitiously.

“You…don’t know?”

“Don’t know what?”

“We didn’t let him go to Beacon, he ran away from home.”

“Dad was pissed when he stole the family sword.”

Ruby froze….

Did….Jaune not tell her about that?

She can’t actually remember.

In her defense, however, a lot has already happened, and on top of an immortal wizard, Maidens, and a Grimm Queen, Jaune’s transcripts were the least of her troubles.

And so she only shrugged.

“He’s still strong, though. I mean, he’s the Hero of Vale, after all.”

Ruby smirked as the Arcs groaned at her besties’ accomplishment.

“That’s almost as unbelievable as him getting a girlfriend, much less three.” Merigold sighed, but Jade immediately moved to correct her.

“Four, Yang’s in the running too, remember?”

This time, it was Ruby’s turn to groan.

“Ugh. I don’t even know how that happened.”

Bleu, however, only raised an eyebrow skeptically at her.

“Are you sure? How about you, Ruby? You’re not in the running too, are you?”

Ruby immediately blushed, leaning backward as she waved her hands frantically.

“N-No! Like I said before. I’m too young! We’re just besties.”

“Yeah, but you won’t be young forever.”

“Urk!”

Ruby looked away as Bleu pointed out the flaw in her argument.

Almost unbidden, a memory entered her remind as she remembered the events after Beacon’s Dance and just before they took the mission to Mountain Glenn.

She remembered talking to Jaune, and….flirting with him. At first, it was her way of still being included so as she wouldn’t be left behind by her team but as things just happened around them, Ruby didn’t have the time to think about it anymore.

Until now, of course.

She remembered telling Jaune herself that she wasn’t going to stay 15 forever, and…he was free to pursue her if he wanted her in the future.

Her hands immediately found her face in embarrassment, just in time for Yang to return with the twins.

“What are we talking about?” Yang Xiao Long asked with a grin, and sometimes, Ruby wondered if her sister had a sense for the times when she was most embarrassed, because really, her timing was impeccable.

“We were talking about if Ruby’s after our brother too.” Jade pointed out, and Ruby immediately gasped scandalously at her.

“Jadeeee!” She moaned, but before she could even say anything else, two pairs of arms were suddenly around her.

“”You’re going to be with our brother too?!””

Mauve and Violet screamed at the same time, announcing to everyone who could see just what the topic of their conversation was.

Ruby looked to her own sister for help, but it seemed like this was one of those times Yang was more likely to throw her to the wolves.

“Honestly, I’m not surprised. Our moms married the same guy, after all.” Yang shrugged, getting the Arcs’ eyes to blow wide open as they looked back and forth between them.

Ruby could have screeched, in fact, she wanted, but the only thing that stopped her?

Mauve and Violet’s wide, innocent blue eyes.

Ruby Rose had always been the little sister, but for that split second, she couldn’t help but feel as if she had little sisters of her own!

She almost said yes.

Almost.

Because just as she opened her mouth, salvation came from a pair of amber eyes and a velvety voice.

“You must be the Arcs.”

The blondes snapped their heads to the side to see a beautiful woman with long black hair trailing behind her back.

“Uhm, sorry. Who are you again?” Merigold tilted her head, and Ruby only winced as she looked at the woman apologetically.

An eyebrow twitched, regardless, the woman opened her mouth and stretched out a hand.

“Cinder Fall, it’s nice to meet you.” Cinder Fall purred, clutching Merigold’s hand as her amber eyes glowed.

------
Cinder Fall has entered the building!

Next up, just what the hell has been Cinder doing these past few months together with Team Salem?!

So as you have noticed, I've included parts of Ruby and the Arcs into the main story instead of the omakes.

The omake was just supposed to work as world-building material to introduce Jaune's family and to make the world of Remnant feel less empty. Yet I figured I could make them interact with more cast members like this.

Here are they ages and basic personalities:

Rouge Arc - 23 years old, rebellious, first one to leave home, at odds with their father, sympathizes with Jaune. (Jaune thinks she's a Huntress but she's actually just an actress playing as a Huntress in a teenage show.)

Saphron Arc - 21 years old, independent, lesbian, supports Jaune's dreams by giving him money to run away and tips on how to reach Vale. (She did not expect he would steal the family sword.)

Merigold Arc - 19 years old, responsible, and currently the 'mom' of the group when mom is not at home, wants Jaune to be happy but would rather have him home safe. (Resents Rouge a bit for not being the responsible eldest sister.)

Jaune Arc - 18 years old.

Jade Arc - 16 years old, mischievous, protective of Jaune, a bit of a brocon. (scared away girls who used to like Jaune. Currently thinking if she can scare away his girlfriends but unlikely. Reluctant but accepts their relationship if they can make her brother safe and happy.)

Bleu Arc - 15 years old, nerdy, competetive, brutally honest at young age when it came to Jaune's chances to being a Huntsman. (Scared that she might lose her one and only brother if he continues to be a Huntsman.)

Mauve and Violet Arcs - 13 years old, cute, innocent....not, they want their big brother to be happy, idolizes him. They will ship Jaune with anyone and everyone. (Jaune's number 1 supporters.)

The Arc sisters will appear here and then during the Vytal Festival.

Cant help wonder how cinder will take the fact juane is having a kid with Pyrrha. Or the fact shes pretty much locked out juane since the others dont vibe with her at all. Will certainly be interesting. I wanted to ask you this since arcadia got brought up last chapter, what are your thoughts on Summer and her progression in that fic? Im not sure if you caught up on the fic but im hopeful that she remains faithful to tai after what happened in ch11 and breaks the mind control thats tempting her to fall for either Arc. Its cool if you dont want to talk about it but I just didn't expect arcadia to get mention in this story and was curious what you thought of it.
