Followed Ms. Johnson's advice and avoided alerting his mom this time, just hitching a ride out of there on her sandal? Or maybe he waited on the floor and once Ms. Johnson told his mom he was shrunk per the contract she got on the floor to find her son to take him home? Given society's view of shrinkies, I have a feeling making it home won't improve his life. If the new girl is his sister, cousin, or neighbor, I have a feeling she's going to make his life hell since he's entirely at her mercy. Kind of hinges on whether or not his mom brought him home aware or unaware of him, to make the new girl promise she wouldn't hurt or abuse him too much. "He's still your brother, don't tease him too much about his condition." I bet if it's his sister and she's a model student she's going to torment her useless brother about failing to become a real adult in their world.

Perhaps having to survive his mom's bare feet hehehe, or mouth, or butt hehehe. But perhaps his sister can help, or perhaps she likes his new size.
