Vending Machines - Consumable Items
Added 2024-02-21 20:45:11 +0000 UTCThe scripting for the vending machine system is finally finished, offering various types of vending machines scattered throughout the map. These machines feature consumable items, weapons, or rare items, each prominently displaying an item for purchase. To keep things dynamic, if an item remains unpurchased for a set duration, the machine will automatically switch to another random item from its selection. When a player makes a purchase, the machine enters a "restock" phase, becoming available again after a specified time. Fine-tuning of these timings and pricing is ongoing and will require testing to optimize. The weapons vending machine will follow the same format, but isn't shown here yet due to a lot more work still needing to be done in creating images for each weapon.
As for a map update, I am planning on pushing out a large test map update very soon which will include a new area, along with all these recent updates that have been shown. after this, the main goal will be getting a version of the official map uploaded to the workshop for testing.
