Videos for May 15th - 21st

Two weeks left until Computex! Here's what's coming this week:

16th: ASUS Scar 17 Review
19th: 4070 laptop vs desktop
21st: RTX 4070 vs RTX 4070 Ti Comparison

The Scar 17 review is with the 7945HX laptop I used last week for the AMD vs Intel comparison. It's a bit shorter than our usual laptop reviews, as the chassis is essentially the same as last year. I figured it's not worth repeating everything like ports/keyboard/touchpad etc, so just focus on what's different, which is anything related to CPU/GPU performance.

The third video on Sunday is a bit of a bonus. Honestly, it's nowhere near as good as the one Hardware Unboxed already put out (Hi Steve, do you actually read these? 😀) but I comitted to doing it a few weeks ago, so just going to post it as an extra for the week instead of the usual 2 videos.

Long story short, I wanted the 4070 and 4070 Ti cards for laptop and desktop comparison data (eg, the video on the 19th) and could only borrow them from MSI. They don't seem too keen on me only using them in laptop content, so I suggested doing the comparison, as the 3070 vs 3070 Ti one I did last year performed really well. But yeah at only 25 games instead of 40, and less RT tested, just watch the HUB one 😎

Next week I've got 2 videos planned before Computex. One is a 4050 vs 4060 laptop comparison which is complete, the other is a laptop review for the MSI GE68 which I'll be working on finishing this week.

Otherwise on Friday we received 2x Lenovo LOQ laptops, a 15" and 16" for some reason. They have the same CPU/GPU, so we're going to focus on doing all the testing on the 15", but then include data from the 16" that would be different, such as screen/maybe thermals to see if the size matters. Legion Slim 7i Gen 8 also turned up with 13900H and 4070. We'll probably get most of the testing of these done before Computex, but the videos definitely won't be until we get back.

If everything goes to plan I'll also be visiting Mr Hardware Unboxed Steve in a week for the live stream PC build of my new machine, but I'll share more info like time once it's for sure scheduled.
