Videos for November 27th - December 3rd

Move over Black Friday, hello Cyber Monday 😅 here's what's happening this week:

We've been very busy over the last few days, mostly with keeping the deals site up to date with all the sales.

I also did the 2nd video of the year on the 2nd channel talking through all the deals available, maybe half the deals are still active but many have changed, the video can be found here if you're not subscribed to the 2nd channel: https://youtu.be/SzM5YE8bp0A

It started out slow, but ended up performing quite well for that channel, so perhaps it may end up on the main channel next year, we'll see!

We're still testing the Legion 9, but I'm hoping to wrap up testing tomorrow and then move into finalizing the script and filming. The goal is to publish it next week, and that's on track.

I believe our meteor lake engineering sample laptop should turn up this week. We bought equivalent 12700H and 13700H laptops to compare it with. Same laptop chassis, well there are improvements and changes between generation, but same series I suppose, as close as we could get for a "fair" comparison anyway.

The meteor lake chip should have the same amount of P and E cores, but I guess it's going to have some weird name instead of 14700H due to however Intel's new naming scheme works.

That's a fair bit of work, but hopefully all we've got left for the year, at least in terms of videos coming out this year. We're making a couple of sponsored videos for ASUS for CES from home, one for two of their new 2024 gaming laptops and the other for non-gaming. Basically just the standard CES style overview sort of content that we normally do, except we'll have the laptops on hand to show on camera rather than just talk about them. The plan is to make them in December and have them published when the embargo ends in January.

That said, we are actually going to CES in January to do a couple of videos for MSI. We booked the flights last week and will be in Murica between January 7th - 21st. The plan is first week CES, then second week... TBA. Some kind of break before we come back to Australia and figure out what videos we'll be making in 2024 😎
