Among the headphones, sound cards and sound bars from Creative at CES 2018, they introduced one piece of kit I could not wait to get my hands on, The SoundBlaster K3+…. And now that I have it… what do I think of it?
But first... What am I drinking???
Today it's the Kentucky Breakfast Stout from Founders Brewing Co. (Grand Rapids, MI). It's a Chocolate and Coffee stout thats been aged for 1 year in Oak Bourbon barrels for a year. Coming in at 12.3%, it's both boozy and incredibly flavorful all at once. One of the best stouts I've had on this show.

Every single in-studio video, and every my first 26 live streams, have been recorded on this, my Behringer Xenyx 1202 FX. But, long story short… as soon as the new SoundBlaster K3+ hit my desk, I haven’t even plugged the Behringer back in.
The K3+ requires only a single USB Micro cable for both power and data, saving a spot on my power strip, and making this a truly portable mix board for remote live streams. It also sports a global 2-band EQ, 10 preset reverb FX, a soundboard with 6 built-in sound effects, a stereo RCA in and out, and if you’re a musician, an autotune feature baked right in.
Overall, I’ve been really happy with the SoundBlaster K3+ as both a 2-ch mixer and an audio interface. At $129, it’s certainly worth the cost of admission given its fairly unique feature set.
