The First Kimetsu Print

i'm very pleased with this print! i think it came out so good!! there are things i'm not 100% COMPLETELY on board with, but i feel like if i keep prodding and poking at it, i'll just end up hating it. besides, the positive emotions outweigh the negative and that's GOOD ENUFF FOR ME!
the third picture was the first pass and as you can see....it's pretty ugly LOL. i still tried to make it work (4th picture) but in the end i just ended up hating it and it's (many many many) flaws so i scrapped it. there are still things that i like though, so it wasn't too bad <:) i'm still very fond of that zeni! but the composition wasn't that great. maybe for something else, but not for this! so i kept working!!
the second pic was my next attempt! and it was the one that ended up sticking!! i decided to go with palettes for the trio because i felt like using their actual character colors would muddle the picture up and make it less focused. after deciding on a new composition +colors it was pretty much smooth sailing from there! the hardest thing to do was probably getting zenitsu's thunderclap to look just right. i kept trying to sneak a blue in there but it just looked weird....

i pretty much just watched hey arnold! while working on these and now everytime i see zenitsu i just associate him with the sallys comet episode haha. on the sadder side i associate tanjiro with the pigeon man episode : (
