Last Post Of 2020?

Of course the last post of 2020 (maybe...?) is late.... o(—( I don‘t really have a huge banger of a post to end the year with, which is unfortunate but almost fitting....? Sorry to disappoint!!

I hope everyone who celebrates enjoyed their holidays!! Mine were lovely. :“”) 🧡 I finally saved up enough money to buy a new computerrrrr!! My wallet wasn’t really happy about it, but I figured that I deserved something really nice since I survived this hell year. No longer will I have to wait 10 minutes for a YouTube video to load!!! Thank god!!!

I don’t really need to talk about the bad parts of 2020 since I’m sure we’ve seen enough of that, so I don’t mind talking about some good stuff in this brief reflection of the year: I feel like I improved a nice amount in 2020! I actually did some studying, which was both very fun and very frustrating. It definitely did help though, so I suppose the hours spent scratching my head over perspectives and proportions were very much worth it. I still have a long ways to go before I’m satisfied (i will probably never be satisfied) but Ive been making steady progress and I think it really shows!!! I also started playing more with shapes and textures. Some things finally clicked in my brain about how you’re supposed to use texture brushes and I’ve been obsessed LOL everything MUST have a funny texture!!!! It’s one of my favorite parts of drawing!!! It’s the equivalent of peeling that thin layer of plastic off of a new controller or other technological doodad. 

Alright enough rambling.

This week I have more sketches (you will eat the sketches and like it!!!) as well as a look at the finished postcard I did for the KNY Flowers Zine!!! We got the OK to post it so I’m posting it here first. Unfortunately I don’t have the .PSD for it. I tried looking for it but I might have accidentally deleted it. :( sorry! I also have some sketches!! They’re quite old since I’ve had almost no time to draw between commissions and the holidays. o(—( I’m really spreading myself thin!!
