Ep.10 Update #2: By The Pool
Added 2021-04-04 23:01:00 +0000 UTCThis edit is similar to the last one, in that I had to superimpose multiple frames of a moving animation then isolate the "moving" portions and keep the rest still. (Also, surprise! Duo and Quatre play a large role again for the first time since ep.7!)
The original shot is a quick pan from left to right using still cells of Duo and Quatre while a news clip plays exposition in the background. Gundam Wing (and anime in general) does this often to give the feeling of movement without needing to actually animate much. The downside of this for an abridged series is that when you want to use the shot to keep your characters talking, the movement in the background combined with the movement in the panning shot makes it impossible to freeze frame it for conversations.
What's next is editing the faces of each character, as both are far too serious for the conversation they're having. I'll get to that after I line up the spoken lines with the visuals.
