Update on Youtube takedowns.
Added 2021-06-30 02:23:22 +0000 UTCAs many of you have probably noticed-- I mean, a lot of you were talking about it with us on Discord already-- multiple videos have been removed from our channel in the past few days. I want to keep all of you updated on what's happening so you know the immediate future of our channel and MSA:GW.
Bandai Namco's official Japanese Youtube Channel seems to be claiming copyright on all of our MSA:GW videos. They have requested these videos be removed immediately and hit us with a copyright strike for each one. Three copyright strikes results in the loss of our channel. Unfortunately, with the way Youtube's system works, we don't have much in the way of defending ourselves aside from asking Bandai nicely to remove the claims.
Unless something changes, our channel will be removed from public view on July 6th. I will do everything in my power to keep that from happening, but this is what to expect unless we get a miracle. Luckily Youtube gives partnership program members seven days to try to fix the issue, but that's all we get.
If this happens, we will create a new Youtube channel, but not host MSA:GW there in the short term. We'll post all of our non-parody content and start making more of it to attract subscribers. We'll need to get back into the partnership program again, which originally took us about three and a half years, and any help sharing our new channel will be appreciated. We'll only make one if our current channel indeed is taken down.
All of our current videos will be on our new website, which I'll have more info on tomorrow. I know it's not as convenient as Youtube, but I want all of you to be able to access all our content without Youtube taking it down at any moment. I'm currently finishing the website's design, and all of MSA:GW and Goku Time have already been uploaded for viewing. You'll be able to watch it all through OPMeat.com very shortly.
You will not be charged your pledge on July 1st. I want to acknowledge that we haven't produced a new abridged episode in a year, and that losing our channel is a serious blow. So, we won't be charging any of our Patrons next month while we work on Ep.10, the website, and our next Movie Night Mondays. We want you to feel comfortable being our Patrons and knowing that you're getting content back in return for your patronage. Thank you so much for all your support. We wouldn't be here without you.
There. That should be everything. I'll have better news this week on our new website and Ep.10 progress, so stay tuned!

Man, that's gotta be such a nightmare to deal with. I'm so sorry this is happening to you guys. Please be well! As excited as I am for the next episode, it's so much more important to me that you're taking care of yourselves first and foremost. Good luck!
