MS: Mangabridged Announcement!

Assuming you've watched our newest Sowing Discord today, you no doubt have questions about the ending. Questions like:

What is "G-Unit"?
"Dual Story G-Unit" is a manga set within the Gundam Wing universe, but in a different part of space. It stars an entirely new cast protecting Colony MO-V from OZ Prize. It was published shortly after the conclusion of Gundam Wing, and has recently even seen a continuation in Japan for Wing's 25th anniversary. You may be familiar with the localized title, "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Last Outpost."

Okay, but what is "mangabridged"?
In short: we're not sure yet! We want to put the skills we've developed as frame-by-frame animators to use turning manga scans into entertaining, fully voiced videos. It's a challenge we've been experimenting with for awhile, since we want to put "Episode Zero" content into MSAGW. Characters will be fully voiced and videos will be similar to our current abridging format. Just with more stills.

But why now?
Due to our lack of a relationship with Bandai Namco or Youtube, we have no real protections from sudden, random takedowns of our content on the whim of an algorithm. So, we want to adapt and create content that is safer for Youtube while still working on our abridged shows on opmeat.com. G-Unit, as an extension of Gundam Wing, seemed like the perfect fit. Bots won't find it, and we'll be able to give more characters life in this universe we love so much.

When will we get to watch it?
No idea! It's in its concept phase for now, with nothing but a Google doc full of notes I took while rereading the manga in recent weeks. No video editing of any kind will occur before Ep.10 is released. Once Ep.10 is finished, we'll script for Ep.11, Mangabridged G-Unit and other projects as our inspirations dictate. We'll update Patreon when we start the project proper.

Do you need voices? Editors? Anything?
If we decide to do an open casting call, we'll announce it and contact those who have reached out to us before. As mentioned, this is still in the early planning phases, and a lot could change regarding what we need between now and then.
