Ok I got the file paths to stay but the texture pack isn't working when I launch the game and every time I go back to the settings texture pack is unchecked

2020-08-06 20:53:15 +0000 UTCI know the new release is coming soon but I was trying to figure this out. The problem I am having is whenever I change the paths in the texture pack tab and click ok, the settings don't save, they just revert to the file paths that are initially there. Any ideas?
