I personally believe that the writers of the show originally made it as the main demographic towards kids, but because they were in college at the time, i believe the writers realized their own piers liked it as well and slowly grew ATLA into an all ages series with almost perfection. I think it seems more childish season 1 in comparison to what you dudes are about to get into haha
