i remember the first time I watched this I was so tense at the end that I scared the shit out of my friend next to me when I gasped then jumped up and threw my arms up after my mind was done buffering the Ty Lee assist lol It was so unreal to realize in that moment that Ty Lee is probably the one and only person Azula has ever out and out LOST to. Oh wow, hold on, I just thought of something interesting saying that. Remember in Zuko Alone, Azula, Mai, and Ty Lee are out playing together in the gardens? you can see Azula and Ty Lee doing gymnastics. When Azula does a cartwheel and then tries rounding off into a back handspring, she doesn’t quite stick the landing. Then when Ty Lee executes it perfectly, Azula real quick gets up and shoves her from behind to make her fall down. (Which, is the first and only time she demonstrates that she’s jealous of Ty Lee before The Beach episode I believe) Then she turns around and immediately plays that trick on Mai and Zuko. Firebends AT HER FRIENDS HEAD to scare and humiliate them both. Mai gets up and is clearly mad at the two of them but doesn’t confront Azula for doing that shitty thing to her. Kinda cool that this time, Mai VERY openly told Azula EXACTLY what she thinks about her and where she could go, in front of everyone. Then when Azula makes to firebend at Mai’s head, just like the apple from when they were kids, but REALLY trying to do damage this time Ty Lee pops her twice from her blind spot, and knocks her down. just like Azula did to her. Now it’s Azula who’s on the ground, humiliated in front of everyone. My god.

2021-09-27 15:31:59 +0000 UTCYour faces when Ty Lee flip too! Haha! Since Book 2, Mai would listen to Azula but she would draw a line sometime while Ty Lee put 100% into the mission. Like in the Drill episode, Mai not wanting to go down the sludge to follow Katara and Sokka because it was gross while Ty Lee went for it. Mai letting Sokka to take Bosco (the King’s bear) cause she just couldn’t care about it. Mai also shot a look at Azula when she interrupted their make out session.

Even as non-benders, they kick all sorts of ass and it's really fun to see how excited you are about their skills. Edit: I think the ages are currently (Zuko, 16) (Suki, 16) (Sokka, 15) (Mai, 15) (Ty Lee, 14) (Azula, 14) (Katara, 14) (Aang, 12 [his birthday is in August, so he is almost 13]) (Toph, 12)
