2022-10-25 22:28:01 +0000 UTCThe easiest way to contextualise why the loop had to stay intact is to think about Rory’s first action upon time travelling; taking Dan from Hell and making him a ghost. If that doesn’t happen, Dan never a finds the true source of his guilt and Lucifer can never help him get to Heaven. If that doesn’t happen, Lucifer never finds his calling. Rory looks back on her life and realises everyone in her family has been reminding her of her father’s love for her the whole time, just like Lucifer and God. All the pain was worth it (for Rory, Lucifer and Chloe) knowing in the end he loved her and didn’t abandon her willingly, but for a purpose.

2022-10-25 22:16:08 +0000 UTCi’m sure it was explained but simply, if rory knows about lucifer, she never gets mad and goes back in time, which means all of that stuff never happens, which means lucifer doesn’t come to the revelation of his “calling” of helping souls in hell

2022-10-25 20:23:20 +0000 UTCI do not believe that the celestial key (“Amenadiel’s rod”) had anything to do with angels being able to kill humans without consequence. Killing humans was against God’s rules, and He wasn’t around when Michael killed TJ the fence, or Chloe in the fight. Lucifer and Amenadiel still adhered and believed in them, and I think the only unchangable rules were how souls originally made it to Heaven or Hell.

2022-10-25 20:02:39 +0000 UTCI think the questions I had weren’t timely enough to make your final Q&A - oh well. I do have a couple of things to share in regards to a few of your last comments. Father Frank - the Priest as you called him, appeared only in that 1 episode. Lee, “Mr. Said-Out-Bitch” was the one who showed up at the end of season 5 to help Lucifer find Chloe in Heaven. However, you might have noticed a mention of the Priest on Lucifer’s To Do List chalkboard in S6 E9 when he woke up so happy before Chloe reminded him this was his last day. Lucifer only got to scratch off the first couple of items, but “check in on Father Frank” was a little further down, proving Lucifer had not forgotten him.

2022-10-25 19:52:20 +0000 UTCI think it is quite simple as to why Luci couldn't be in Rory's life is this... Luci and Chloe grew to love the Rory that they knew. Rory loved her badass wings and everything she learned from her wonderful single mom. She knew that if Luci didn't do as it happens, then she would be wiped from existence as she was and she might not have her wings, her attitude, her sense of self. Chloe knew this as she said we are doing this for Rory. Rory would have grown up, but she wouldn't have been who she was... do you see? Knowing what she knows after all that happened, she asked her father not to wipe 'her' from existence by not changing her. She actually said -''Don't change me!' As to Amenadiel going up and down etc, it didn't change Charlie, it wouldn't change anything. Chloe and Luci sacrificed their time on earth for their daughter. Also, there was the risk that Luci wouldn't realise his calling, but I think he probably would have. Time travel, eh? I loved it though. I also liked that they faced head on the celestial and immortal with a human and mortal. I didn't want to see Luci, never aging with an aging elderly lady that people would think was his grandma! Also, would they have had to keep moving if he'd stayed because people would start to talk about Luci not changing, and what kind of life would that have been for Rory and Trixie? It would have been weird. Thanks for answering my questions. I have loved my journey with you guys. It has been the best! As to Angels not killing humans, I don't think it couldn't happen, just God's rules, which obviously could be broken. I thought the resolution to the series was cleverly done and emotional and answered all the questions. I know many wanted Deckerstar to grow old together on earth, but they wouldn't have done, would they? I can't believe it is all over. I am really going to miss it.
